Welcome to Season 02 Episode 02 - the "Harvest Moon" edition - of Notes from the Aisle Seat, a podcast featuring news and information about the arts in northern Chautauqua County NY, sponsored by the 1891 Fredonia Opera House. Your host is Tom Loughlin, SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor and Chair Emeritus of Theatre and Dance at SUNY Fredonia.
This episode features three interviews. The first is with Rick Davis, Executive Director of the 1891 Fredonia Opera House, who discusses the upcoming season. Next is Emilio Palame, whose feature-length film The Knights of Swing will be playing at the Opera House on Sept. 23. Lastly, Cindy Yochym and Noah Diamond join the podcast to talk about this year's Freedonia Marxonia, to be held on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 29 and 30. Featured will be Noah Diamond's newest documentary If You Get Near a Song, Play It! - Music and the Marx Brothers.

This episode features two interviews. The first is with Distinguished Professor Emeritus Alberto Rey, who discusses the upcoming Art and Architecture presentation of Pissaro: Father of Impressionism. The second is with Mr. Paul Preston of The Movie Guys, a website devoted to all things movies and Hollywood. He talks about two of the upcoming films in the Cinema Series: Downton Abbey: A New Era, and The Phantom of the Open.
